Consistent with DAR requirements,
the following types of service are acceptable:
Military
Continental Army, state troops, navy, militia, or privateers.
Civil Service
Signers of the Declaration of Independence,
members of committees of safety, or state/local officials.
Patriotic Service
Rendering material aid, such as paying a supply tax, furnishing supplies, taking the oath of allegiance, or nursing.

Eligibility:
You are a Thornton resident with a Revolutionary ancestor who served in any capacity listed above during the war; OR
You do not live in Thornton but have a Revolutionary ancestor who served in or on behalf of Thornton.
